Almere lights up with art and light — the ALLUMINOUS Light Art Festival transforms the city into an open-air museum.
This Friday the ALLUMINOUS Light Art Festival begins. From October 25 to November 3, you can discover various light artworks around the Weerwater. The opening for invited guests takes place at Floor in the Green Innovation Hub.
What is ALLUMINOUS?
During the autumn break of 2024, from October 25 to November 3, the third edition of ALLUMINOUS takes place: the Almere light art festival where you can discover various light artworks in a magical walk of about two hours around the Weerwater. After the great success of the 2022 and 2023 editions with 30,000 and 34,000 visitors, the festival returns with ten new light artworks, a cycling route, a shuttle boat, and a packed program.
ALLUMINOUS is a free festival. It starts every evening at 6:00 PM. On Fridays and Saturdays the artworks are visible until 11:00 PM. From Sunday to Thursday they are visible until 10:00 PM. There is no start or end point — you can begin the walk at any point along the Weerwater route.
