The Green Innovation Hub: a breeding ground for the future of innovation
Where entrepreneurs, knowledge and sustainability meet.

The Green Innovation Hub, housed on the ninth floor of Floor Almere, is more than a collection of office spaces. It is an open ecosystem where companies, governments, and educational institutions collaborate on digital solutions for a healthy urban environment, mobility, circular construction, and social connection between city residents.
With partners like VodafoneZiggo, the Municipality of Almere, the Ministry of I&W, the Future City Foundation, and the Province of Flevoland, the hub strengthens the region's business climate and connects the labor market and education in a hybrid learning environment.
Three program lines
Community program — Events, meetups, masterclasses, challenges, matchmaking sessions, political visits, and networking events to connect, grow, and share knowledge within the community.
Partner program — Supporting public organizations and companies with social issues and helping startups and scale-ups grow through CityLab Almere.
Open innovation program — Live testing and scaling of innovative digital applications at development locations like Almere Pampus and Hortus.
Why Floor?
The choice of Floor as its home base is no coincidence. The building offers not only the space the hub needs — 1,000 m² on the ninth floor — but also the atmosphere and facilities that innovative entrepreneurs expect. Flex desks, meeting rooms, a lounge bar for informal encounters, and a community of like-minded companies make Floor the ideal place for an organization seeking connection.
A testing ground for the Netherlands
What begins in Almere is meant to scale. The innovations developed here are validated and scaled at special 'greenfield' locations, positioning Almere as a testing ground for sustainable urban development.
