Green Innovation Hub and ICT Tribe join forces

Almere, the fastest-growing city in the Netherlands, offers a dynamic environment for living, working, and recreation. But this growth also brings societal challenges, including a discrepancy between supply and demand in the ICT sector. The Green Innovation Hub and ICT Tribe Foundation have joined forces to close this gap.

The mismatch

The ICT sector has been struggling for years with a structural shortage of trained personnel. By 2027, 60% of current ICT professionals are expected to need retraining. More than 44% of employers consider the staff shortage a barrier to growth.

ICT Tribe plays an important role by bridging the gap between the ICT sector and potential talent in the region. Director Khalid Hafid: "We strive for an inclusive labor market and a culture of lifelong learning, where equal opportunities for everyone are central."

Three program lines

The Green Innovation Hub, located in Floor with beautiful views over the city, focuses on three pillars: community program (events, meetups, masterclasses), partner program (supporting public organizations and companies), and open innovation program (live testing and scaling at locations like Almere Pampus and Hortus).
